I was inspired for this garment by the little boleros that can be worn next to the skin as well as over a dress. In my original collection this top was made of leather, for FeminIst I produced it in sustainable cupro. I personally like it even better that way.
This piece is made of 53% silky cupro 47% Ecovero Viscose.
The feeling of Cupro is very similar to silk, which is why the material is also called “vegan silk”. Cupro is made from the remains of cotton production and is biodegradable. Cupro is good for your skin because the chemicals used to make it are certified and completely risk-free to your skin and the environment.
This is important. Many studies have proven that clothing containing harmful substances can make us sick if it touches our skin. All the more reason for us to make sure that only natural, healthy and clean fabrics are used to make our clothes.
We combine eco-friendly fabrics with fair production! This sustainable pieces was sewn in a small, family-run atelier in Istanbul under fair conditions. Our sewers all have insurance, a work contract and a wage that is far above the minimum wage in Turkey. If you would like to know more our producers, click here.
This jacket is designed as a combo with our trousers Artemis in black and grey.
